You Me At Six announce vegan pop-up You Me At Shish because why not

You Me At Six announced a pop-up vegan kebab shop, You Me At Sish. No, we’re not kidding.

The pop-up vegan restaurant will exist for one night only Oct. 5 to celebrate the release of their album VI that same day. Because who needs a record release party when you could throw a shish kebab party instead?

You Me At Six teamed up with vegan fast-food business Temple Of Seitan to make this punny pop-up restaurant a reality. The restaurant will open at Temple Goods Cafe in London, England at 6 p.m.

Fans of both the band and vegan kebabs can show up to this one-night only event to meet You Me At Six, buy the album, get exclusive merch and, of course, sample the You Me At Shish menu.

The band will also perform an acoustic set at 7 p.m. followed by DJ sets for the rest of the evening. You Me At Shish is among the band’s week of U.K. in-store performances and signings, spanning Oct. 4–11.

As if releasing a new album and pop-up restaurant weren’t enough, You Me At Six are also celebrating the 10-year anniversary of their debut record, Take Off Your Colours. The band are playing a limited number of one-off shows where they’ll perform the record in its entirety. After the initial three shows sold out in 20 minutes, the band added an additional seven dates.

VI was co-produced by the band. The latest track, “Back Again,” features an electronic feel and, according to frontman Josh Franceschi, is about recovery.

“When Max first showed me ‘Back Again’ all I could think of was the fact I was going to write a song about recovery,” the vocalist shared on Twitter. “Not recovering from addiction, but from losing yourself. Falling back in love with life again.”

VI is available for preorder now. Check out the band’s full list of signings and tour dates below.
