You’ll have to pay more to see all of these new shows heading to Disney+
In case you missed it, Marvel pretty much broke the internet with its flood of announcements this week. As it turns out, Marvel Studios has a lot of new original series heading to Disney+ including WandaVision, Loki and She-Hulk.
Along with this, Disney+ has a slew of new content arriving in the future including the highly-anticipated Hocus Pocus 2. However, you may not want to get too excited just yet. It looks like you’ll have to pay more if you want to watch any of this new content.

Marvel fans are still recuperating from the tidal wave of announcements that came their way this week. Along with revealing whether or not Chadwick Boseman‘s Black Panther role will be recast, the release dates for WandaVision and The Falcon And The Winter Soldier were unveiled.
Additionally, we finally know when we can expect to see the original series Loki, WHAT IF…. and Ms. Marvel on Disney+. Marvel also confirmed that She-Hulk, Moon Knight, Secret Invasion, Ironheart and Armor Wars are a few of the other original series arriving on the streaming platform in the future.
Along with Marvel’s mega-announcement, Disney+ also had some exciting news to share this week. On Thursday, Disney confirmed that the highly-anticipated Hocus Pocus 2 is officially in the works.

It is unknown if the original Hocus Pocus cast will return for the sequel. However, Bette Midler has shared her desire to reprise her role as Winifred Sanderson over the years. As well, both Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy said they are open to doing another Hocus Pocus film.
In fact, the original Sanderson Sisters reunited this Halloween for a special event. It was the first of many times they have gotten back into character during the spooky season.

Now, before you get too excited about this upcoming content, Disney made another big announcement this week. Starting in March 2021, the price of Disney+’s monthly subscription is increasing. The fee is changing from $6.99 to $7.99, the platform’s first price hike since its launch.
So if you want to see Marvel’s upcoming content, Hocus Pocus 2 or any of the following projects, you’ll have to fork out an extra $12 a year.
Along with Hocus Pocus 2, Hayden Christensen is returning as Darth Vader in the upcoming OBI-WAN KENOBI series alongside Ewan McGregor.

Disney+ also has a bunch of animated series heading to its platform. Baymax!, Zootopia+, and Tiana are arriving in 2022. However, we will have to wait until 2023 to see Moana the series.

Sequels to both Sister Act and Enchanted are also in the works. Whoopi Goldberg will star in the Tyler Perry-produced Sister Act 3 while Amy Adams is back as Giselle in the Enchanted follow-up. Additionally, Jude Law and will play Captain Hook in the upcoming Peter Pan & Wendy.

Disney+ is also developing a live-action remake of Pinocchio which will star Tom Hanks. John Mulaney and Andy Samberg are also slated to star in the live-action remake of Chip And Dale: Rescue Rangers.
