UPDATE: OCT. 16, 11:01 P.M. EST

YouTube is now back up. The video site’s Twitter account responsible for updates, troubleshooting tips and help revealed the news.

“We’re back! Thanks for all of your patience,” the account tweeted. “If you continue to experience issues, please let us know.”

However, there is still no word on what caused the outage.

On the off chance that you could have possibly missed this piece of information, Youtube is down and we’re not really sure what to do.

Whether it’s the internet that told you or you just thought your laptop was finally giving into its inevitable death, the video site is down. Like the whole thing.

We’re not really sure what’s going on with the site, but as many people have noted, the popular video-sharing website is currently down and it doesn’t appear to be coming back anytime soon.

There’s no official word yet as to what could have possibly caused the crash, but it has been reported on by TeamYoutube that the company is working on trying to get to the bottom of the problem.

They wrote in a tweet:

Thanks for your reports about YouTube, YouTube TV and YouTube Music access issues. We’re working on resolving this and will let you know once fixed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will keep you updated.

While we’re not sure of the cause, we do know we’re not the only ones lost without our nightly binge of the latest videos:
