YUNGBLUD announces concert livestream following show cancellations

With the growing issue of mass cancelations and postponements of concerts and other events due to coronavirusYUNGBLUD is announcing a livestreamed concert for fans.

The “Shit’s Weird Keep Calm and Carry On” show is taking place on March 16 at 7 AM PST on YouTube while YUNGBLUD will be performing from Los Angeles.

Yesterday, Code Orange made a similar announcement that they would be hosting a livestreamed performance of their hometown album release show in an empty venue. Other musicians are similarly looking at performing shows in this format over the next little while.

Now, YUNGBLUD is announcing his own livestreamed performance for fans to check out.

The show will see the musician performing with his full band and taking questions between songs from people living in countries where he had to postpone shows. So far, YUNGBLUD has had to cancel shows in ten countries and is looking for a way to give something back to fans.

In a statement, he says: “the world is in a very weird time at the moment. everyone doesn’t know what to do or where to turn. it’s like we are all trapped in a glass or perspex box whilst someone is playing a trick on us. my shows were getting cancelled left right and centre. i miss the energy, i miss the connection, i miss my fans and family. we need each other more than ever right now and having the opportunity to interact with them taken away from me fully wasn’t even an option for me! we’re holding an online concert monday 7am pdt earliest show of my life see you there!!!”

Along with the set, he’ll be bringing guests including Machine Gun KellyBella Thorne and Oliver Tree. You can watch a trailer for the show below.
