Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson and Nikki Sixx crush this Beatles tune

Gore-obsessed entertainers and veteran metal icons Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson have been putting their own unique twist on the Beatles‘ classic “Helter Skelter” throughout the towns of North America during their massive Twins of Evil: The Second Coming Tour. But on New Year’s Eve, the duo found themselves bolstered by none other than Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx for an Ozzfest stomp through the raucous Lennon-McCartney song from side 3 of the Fab Four’s self-titled 1968 double album, as noted by Blabbermouth.net. Below, watch a couple of fan-captured clips of the performance.

Zombie and Manson released their studio version of the cover tune this past summer. And the former White Zombie frontman told Rolling Stone about the serendipitous significance of the Beatles deep cut for the two performers.

“We had been talking about doing something together for these shows—that he should come onstage during my set and we’d do a song,” Zombie explained of the team-up. “But we couldn’t think of what song. After we talked, later that night I … just thought, the obvious song is ‘Helter Skelter’… It’s so obvious that neither one of us thought of it!”

The special Ozzfest New Year’s spectacular was announced last year. The concert event saw performers like Ozzy Osbourne, Jonathan Davis of Korn and Ice-T’s Body Count joining the stacked bill alongside Zombie and Manson.
