‘Zombieland’ sequel gives fans a taste of chaos with new poster
Rule #2: Double Tap.July 20, 2019
We’re just a few short months away from the highly anticipated release of Zombieland 2. The sequel to our beloved Zombieland has been ten years in the making, slated to finally make its debut this October.
Now, to hold us over until that trailer finally drops, we’ve been given a look at a brand new movie poster teasing the chaos expected to unfold.
Check it out below!
Originally expected to hit theaters Oct. 11, Zombieland: Double Tap will now make its debut Oct. 18.
Back in January, we got our first poster for the film along with the confirmation of a title. The poster features the original cast of Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson and Abigail Breslin.
The film will also add new characters played by Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley), Zoey Deutch (Flower), Rosario Dawson (Jane the Virgin) and Luke Wilson (Old School).
Eisenberg confirmed that the film will pick up ten years later, with our favorite characters making a home in the abandoned White House.
“It took ten years to make because we were just insistent that the script be great — which sounds like it should be obvious, but that’s not always the case,” Eisenberg explains.
“Because the movie is not only popular but also beloved, people feel like it has some personal resonance for them, so we wanted to make sure that it’s as good or better than the first, and it feels that way! We have two weeks left and it feels really great. Everything we’ve done feels very funny.”
Now, the film’s latest poster teases fire and chaos along with the Twitter caption, “Get ready for seconds…”
