We recently found out that a sequel to Zombieland was in the works, and now we know when the film will officially come to theaters.
As reported by Comicbook.com, the film’s highly anticipated sequel will hit theaters almost a decade after the first film’s release, on Oct. 11, 2019.
There’s not a lot of details regarding the new film, but we do know that the upcoming film will see the return of Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg and Abigail Breslin all coming back to reprise their roles.
In addition to the original cast, Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are also returning to write the sequel’s script.
The film is set to begin production in January of 2019 and currently has a release date of October 2019.
“Through comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland, the Zombie slayers must face off against many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. But most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.”
