10 musicians who should play the next James Bond

Bond, James Bond, also known as 007, has been portrayed by several great actors throughout the years. George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig have all had the chance to play the suave spy. These men have sipped martinis (shaken, not stirred!) of Vesper and vodka, and the character’s guns have grown throughout the franchise’s films.

With Craig confirming No Time To Die will end his reign as Bond, theme-song artist Billie Eilish made some comments on how Black Panther actor Michael B. Jordan would make a great Bond in future movies. At AltPress, we’re allowed to have hopes and dreams too, and these are just some of our favorite people who would make a great Bond.

1. Harry Styles

Harry Styles is the perfect young British man to breathe new life into the James Bond franchise. Every single suit Styles wears is modern and, quite frankly, much more badass than the typical black-and-white formal look. Also, a Bond portrayed by Styles would definitely need a martini with a watermelon sugar rim.

2. Brendon Urie

If this video and stunt work isn’t proof of Brendon Urie being qualified, we don’t know what else is. Also, his suit collection stretches far and wide for the perfect variety of Bond looks. Plus, with Urie’s stint as Charlie Price in Kinky Boots, we all know the Panic! At The Disco frontman can act.

3. Andy Biersack

Could you even imagine if Bond got a suit upgrade with a leather jacket and combat boots? Black Veil Brides Andy Biersack knows what’s up and has the right fashion sense to turn Bond into one badass, emo spy. With Biersack making his film debut in 2017’s American Satan and returning for upcoming spin-off Paradise City, we know he’d be able to bring that same grit to Bond.

4. Chris Motionless

Motionless in White’s Chris Motionless said it himself in 2013. He wants to be Bond, and he would do it with a lovely goth twist. Like Bond, the frontman copped his very own “dream tuxedo” from Tom Ford for the 2015 APMAs. While he rocked it on the carpet and post-show, the vocalist told AltPress he swapped it for the band’s performance to avoid tears and breaking his heart “into so many goth pieces.”

5. YUNGBLUD

YUNGBLUD already has a delightful accent perfect for the Bond character. The singer would also give the spy a well-deserved makeover with a little lipstick and smudged eyeliner. This look works for undercover agents and spies alike.

6. Ross Lynch

The Driver Era’s Ross Lynch in a polka-dot suit is another ideal Bond candidate. Beyond a perfect high-fashion outfit, Lynch has the acting chops necessary to be a hero. He took on the role of Austin Moon in the Disney Channel Original show Austin & Ally, and he also played a quite handsome Harvey Kinkle in Netflix’s Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina

7. Andy Williams

Every Time I Die guitarist Andy Williams has what it takes to kick some bad guys’ asses. When not touring with the Buffalo metal band, Williams can be seen on TV professionally wrestling with AEW. This is a trait we look for in all of our heroes.

8. Lynn Gunn

PVRIS Lynn Gunn would be a fabulous Bond character. It’s 2020, meaning it’s time to revamp the franchise and make the spy a woman. Why not choose this talented songwriter and outspoken powerhouse

9. Billie Joe Armstrong

Why not give Bond a pop of color and cast Billie Joe Armstrong? You’d also get some glorious rock star vibes via his signature bottom eyeliner, and his punk attitude would surely make for some slick one-liners

10. Cassadee Pope

Former Hey Monday vocalist Cassadee Pope is the queen of powerful pantsuits. We would love to see a Bond character take down bad guys with heels and a well-tailored blazer.
