Nikki Sixx calls out former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist for “make believe story”

It appears as though tension is heating up between Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx and former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E. Lee. A few days ago, Lee put Sixx and Tommy Lee on blast for allegedly wanting to replace their guitarist, Mick Mars with him during the band’s early years.

In an interview with Tone Talk, the former OZZY guitarist said the band wanted him because he was “better looking” and “better [at] playing.”

“Nikki and Tommy wanted me in the band,” Lee says. “They actually wanted me to replace Mick, which you can understand that. [I was] fucking better looking and fucking better playing.

“I’m not even necessarily saying it would be better,” Lee continues. “Nothing against Mick — Great tone, fucking good rhythm — Probably was what they needed to be big. They wouldn’t have been as big with me. Musically, they might have been better.”

Now, according to Loudwire, Sixx has taken to Twitter to express his concern about those who have “started coming out of the woodwork” following the band’s biopic premier.

Additionally, Sixx quote-tweeted another user’s post that alluded to the recent rumors regarding the guitarists. However, Sixx was quick to shut down the hearsay.

“Make believe story,” Sixx says in a tweet. “Everybody wants piece of the Crüe now. Believe me. Almost 40 years together. We know our story way more than some shadowy worms.”
