Norma Jean follow a tribal cult in new "[Mind Over Mind]" video

After dropping their noisy new track “[Mind Over Mind]” last month, Norma Jean are giving us a new video for the song.

The band’s latest video follows a cult preparing a human sacrifice spliced between shots of the band performing in a rundown house.

Shortly after that, they officially announced their new albumAll Hail, arriving Oct 25 via Solid State Records. The band got some help from fans with their album title and showed their appreciation through a video with the phrase “all hail the almighty Norma Jean.” The band also gave their “thanks to the diehards for naming LP8.”

“The story behind the band’s name goes something like ‘it just got thrown around a few times and stuck,’ and it was some fans that started throwing out ‘almighty’ many years later, and eventually ‘All Hail,'” vocalist Cory Brandan. “The album title is a tribute to them, by them. It got thrown around and it stuck.”

Then a few weeks back the band gave fans their first taste of the new era of Norma Jean with “[Mind Over Mind]”.

“I don’t believe humans naturally live in a state of constant conflict,” says Brandan about the song and video. “I think it’s perpetuated. Feel free to dive in further if you want. After that, it’s a heavy rock riff with tons of fuzz!”
