nothing, nowhere. taps Pete Wentz, Underoath, SeeYouSpaceCowboy, more for new album

Not every SoundCloud emo-rap artist has the ascent that nothing, nowhere. has had. The project from Joe Mulherin has already collaborated with Dashboard Confessional, Sum 41, Travis Barker, and others — but he’s not stopping there.

Today, nothing, nowhere. announced his new album VOID EXTERNAL, which is to be released March 31 via Fueled by Ramen. The record will feature a stacked slate of collaborations with Buddy Nielsen of Senses Fail, Freddie Dredd, Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy, SeeYouSpaceCowboy, Silverstein, Static Dress, Underoath, and Will Ramos of Lorna Shore — making it one big emo affair.

To go along with the announcement, the recording artist dropped his latest single “THIRST4VIOLENCE,” which features Dredd and Silverstein. It follows singles “CYAN1DE” (feat. Pete Wentz), “M1SERY_SYNDROME” (feat. Buddy Nielsen and Senses Fail), and “MEMORY_FRACTURE.” With the combination of nothing, nowhere. and Dredd’s bars along with Silverstein’s howl, it sounds like the hardest single off the record so far and is said to be about channeling “sadness into positive aggression.”

In a press release, Mulherin said of the new album, “I want to be what bands like Linkin Park were to me. I want to provide that level of inspiration and comfort, and I want to be a safe haven to a kid who is struggling. I made it exactly how I wanted to with zero outside influence. This is the purest expression I could put down in audio form. This is the music that made me, and I want to return the favor.”
