10. Tyler Posey moderating Jack and Alex's debate

Just a couple days before the show, we dropped the bomb that Teen Wolf's Tyler Posey would be joining us at the 2016 APMAs. But he surprised us all when he started the show off with a bang by moderating Jack and Alex's presidential debate. His super-positive spirit and energy got the crowd hyped! Here he is with his brother Jesse, who walked the carpet with him.

9. The supergroup

To recap: Andy Black, Mikey Way, John Feldmann, Quinn Allman and Christian Coma. WHAT?!

8. Patrick Stump's Best Vocalist acceptance video

Even though Fall Out Boy's frontman couldn't be at the show to accept his award, he made a hilarious video in which he thanks the fans for voting him Best Drummer…and then becomes quite upset when he realizes that's not the case. Way to steal our hearts without even being there in person.

7. Babymetal and Rob Halford

Arguably one of the sickest APMAs performances of all time. Judas Priest's Rob Halford joined Babymetal on stage for two classic Judas tunes. When Fox God meets rock god…

6. Alex Gaskarth's surprise appearance with Neck Deep and Alex Costello of ROAM

Even though ROAM's Alex Costello surprised the audience by joining Neck Deep on stage for a cover of Blink-182's “The Rock Show,” Alex Gaskarth surprised us all by running on stage for an impromptu guest spot on the tune.

5. Marilyn Manson's Icon Award win

Marilyn Manson said that his honorary Skully would be the only award he would ever put on his shelf (along with baboon skulls). We're flattered!

4. Vic Fuentes' surprise appearance with Yellowcard

Fun fact: The Pierce The Veil frontman's guest spot on “Ocean Avenue” was kept such a secret that almost all of the AP staff didn't know it was happening until the day before the show.

3. Good Charlotte and their many guests

After Good Charlotte were presented with the Classic Album Award for The Young And The Hopeless, they took to the stage to prove that the 2002 album's tunes could stand the test of time. They also brought out special guests Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens, Anthony Raneri of Bayside and Awsten Knight of Waterparks!

2. A Day To Remember's magazine cover announcement

A Day To Remember headlined the show, and capped off the performance with the announcement that they will be on the cover of our next issue! Get all the details HERE

1. The Ghost Inside winning Most Dedicated Fans

This was, indisputably, the highlight of the night. Their win came nearly eight months after the Los Angeles metalcore outfit survived a tragic bus crash last November that claimed the life of their driver and severely injured the band members.

“This award is not really about us, we want to accept this award on behalf of those who have reached out to us, both directly and indirectly,” frontman Jonathan Vigil said. “Your support has made it much easier for us to fight back and get back on stage…it’s because of you. You are the inspiration.”
