Living well is the best revenge. After Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy Osbourne’s famed manager and wife, was rejected by alternative powerhouse festival Lollapalooza for an Ozzy band performance, she took matters into her own hands and created a metal event of her own, Ozzfest.
It was truly a DIY family affair, featuring many of Ozzy’s bands on the lineup and having family members such as Sharon and Ozzy’s son Jack Osbourne working behind the scenes to curate the billing. Here are 20 trivia questions about the almost-20 years of Ozzfest.

Since Ozzfest ended in 2018, Ozzy Osbourne has kept quite a large public profile in various forms of media. Sadly, Ozzy was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in February 2019, and he went public with his illness this past January. The movement disorder forced him to cancel his extensive 2020 North American tour, but Ozzy was still featured on Post Malone’s “Take What You Want,” also featuring Travis Scott, and released Ordinary Man, his first solo album in 10 years, on Epic Records Feb. 21, 2020.
Post Malone returned the favor by performing on “It’s A Raid” on Ozzy’s LP. To promote the release in an unorthodox but incredible manner, an 8-bit video throwback game was released online to much fanfare from his die-hard superfans. In much happier news, The Osbournes Want To Believe, a show highlighting paranormal activity, debuted on the Travel Channel this summer. The craziest thing about said show is not the topic itself, but that it is completely PG. On a more R-rated note, recently, in August, Sharon, Ozzy, and Jack confirmed the news that a biopic about the publicly tumultuous romantic relationship between Sharon and Ozzy is in the works. In promoting the movie, Sharon took jabs at Bohemian Rhapsody, the 2018 biopic about Queen. Fans were assured that nothing about their love affair would be sugarcoated in the slightest and that the film will contain more of the bad and the ugly, and less of the good, than typical celebrity motion pictures often do.
