Pabst Blue Ribbon unveils hard coffee as the frappuccino for beer lovers
If you like starting your day with a hot coffee and a ending it with refreshing Pabst Blue Ribbon, boy do we have a product for you.
The company just released a Pabst Blue Ribbon Hard Coffee. We kind of wish we were kidding.
The company says the drink “will be among the first of its kind in the industry, a fun and deliciously unique drink made using Arabica and Robusta coffee beans and rich, creamy American milk.” This will make it a “great tasting vanilla infused premium iced coffee with a 5 percent ABV kick.”
The packaging features PBR’s signature logo with a brown coffee-colored scheme instead. You can see it down below.
The new product is currently only available in “limited test markets” which includes Pennslyvania, New Jersey, Maine, Florida and Georgia. You can find out where they are sold on the PBR website. It’s definitely an unusual way to start your day, but many people on Twitter were eager to try it. See what they had to say below.
According to beer app Untapped, people have compared the flavors to frappuccinos and Yoo-hoo drinks. The reviews overall appear to be pretty favorable.
We’ll just all have to try and see what it tastes like ourselves to see if it will replace our normal coffee/PBR.
More newsDespite the band asking them to discontinue sales, the brewery planned to continue selling Guns ‘N’ Rosé until March 2020.
The suit says the brewery “should not be entitled to continue to sell infringing products and intentionally trade on the GNR’s goodwill, prestige, and fame without GNR’s approval, license, or consent.”
Guns N’ Roses areseeking unspecified damages in the trademark infringement suit.
