Palaye Royale rock out with sign language interpreter—watch
Palaye Royale recently dropped Boom Boom Room (Side B) and are in the midst of their headlining tour (aka “the last chance to see Side A and Side B ever played”). Prior to kicking off their headliner, the trio played a special show at Las Vegas-based the Church Of Rock And Roll.
On Sept. 21, they took part in a performance that aimed to make the music community more inclusive. With the help of Music: Not Impossible technology, deaf and hearing impaired fans were able to experience the show in a “surround body” way.

The technology’s site explains that the device, which took four years to develop, uses “advanced vibro technology to provide an enhanced live musical experience for all.”
The five-piece device consists of a vibro harness, two wristbands and two ankle bands. The device syncs with the live performance and each of the five areas vibrate along with it. The vibes can be adjusted from low, medium or strong vibes.

In addition to the audience wearing the devices, the band of brothers had a special guest onstage with them that evening. Their mother, Stephanie, shared a clip of the performance featuring a sign language interpreter.
“No Palaye Royale are not ‘Fu*#ing with your Head,’ she writes. “What an amazing honour to be a part of a test launch for this absolutely incredible groundbreaking technology for the hearing impaired.”

When asked if the interpreter learned the song ahead of time, Stephanie revealed it was all done on the spot.
Palaye weren’t the only band that helped test the technology. Greta Van Fleet also performed to the audience sporting the groundbreaking devices.
