Can you believe it’s been 10 years since Panic! At The Disco’s “Nine In The Afternoon” made its debut? With news of uncovered demos from that era, we want to revisit one of Panic’s most popular songs from the Pretty. Odd. era.

“Nine In The Afternoon” was iconic. It was the first song after Panic famously took the exclamation point out of their name. Originally released on MySpace, Rolling Stone named it No. 44 on their Top 100 Songs of 2008.

It was also one of the first songs created after Panic scrapped a whole album, the demos of which were recently found by former bassist Jon Walker.

The news of the recovered demo tracks, which sent Panic! fans into a frenzy over the weekend, was posted on Walker’s Twitter account.

Walker shared that his father found a CD that contained three demo tracks for the unreleased effort Cricket And Clover. As some might know, the album was scrapped before the band recorded Pretty. Odd.

He then went on to further push fans into a full-blown meltdown when he shared how the tracks sound.

Describing them as “weird, dense and pre-weed,” Walker then shared that he hopes that someone gets the “Ok” to share them with the world…something we would panic over.

As if that wasn’t enough cause for excitement, Walker also shared that his father-in-law found 11 more “post-cabin, pre-pretty odd demos, and 3 pretty odd demos.”

While we’re not entirely sure if these unreleased tracks will ever see the light, fans can rejoice in knowing that the band’s lost tracks have been recovered. Either way, e’re totally panicking and listening to Pretty. Odd. on repeat.
