Papa Roach, Asking Alexandria ad reportedly uses stolen video game art

An ad created for a Papa Roach and Asking Alexandria show has allegedly used artwork from a video game.

The artwork is apparently from Monster Prom and was taken from a poster by Astor Alexander.

The artwork doesn’t appear on the full admat for the tour, but just the show at South Side Ballroom in Dallas, TX.

Julian Quijano, who developed Monster Prom, made a statement about the entire case to Kokatu. He believes it was the work of a venue, and believes it’s all a misunderstanding.

“I used to work in nightclubs for a couple years, and clubs and venues always do the same: their graphic designers have to do some poster designs per week for each party, concert, whatever. What ends up happening is they just Google some random cool images to alter a bit and add the info,” Quijano said. “So this is probably that: a venue that improvised a poster and their graphic designer found our poster to do so.”

“The whole thing just gave us some good laughs, silly puns and a funny story to tell,” Quijano continued. “Like… damn… 10 years ago I was dancing to Papa Roach music on a nightclub, completely unable of even imagining in the future they would be using (in a very nasty not nice way) art from a game I would create.”

More Papa Roach news

Papa Roach had the best response to a tweet by President Donald Trump and it’s gone completely viral.

It all started when Trump shared an aggressive caps lock tweet.

“NO COLLUSION, NO OBSTRUCTION, TOTAL EXONERATION. DEMOCRAT WITCH HUNT!” the tweet read.

Then, Papa Roach quote tweeted it with the most perfect response using lyrics from their song “Last resort”.

“CUT MY LIFE INTO PIECES, THIS IS MY LAST RESORT,” they wrote, since Trump’s words sounded like they could be lyrics in the song.

It was truly the perfect response. Now, you can jam the throwback Papa Roach track “Last Resort” below.
