Paramore go dance-punk on their infectious new single “C’est Comme Ça”

Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams may be “off caffeine,” but the band’s latest single “C’est Comme Ça” will have you bouncing off the walls in no time.

“C’est Comme Ça,” the third single off the band’s highly-anticipated sixth studio album This Is Why (due out Feb. 10), arrived today. The song, which is French for “it’s like that,” follows the two previously released singles “This Is Why” and “The News,” ushering in the most diverse era of Paramore’s career thus far.

On “C’est Comme Ça,” Paramore channels the energy of the infectious dance-punk of the late ’00s in the vein of groups like Bloc Party and the Gossip. On the track, Williams reflects on the changes and personal growth she has applied to her life in order to find peace, even if it isn’t as exciting as the cliched struggling-artist narrative.

“The idea of imminent doom is less catastrophic to me than not knowing anything about the future or my part in it. The guys and I are all in much more stable places in our lives than ever before. And somehow that is harder for me to adjust to,“ Williams shares in a press release.

In celebration of This Is Why, Paramore will hit the stage at the iconic Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee for a special album release performance on Feb. 6 before embarking on a massive North American tour in support of the record. Additionally, the band will perform alongside Taylor Swift for the opening date of her Eras tour.
