Watch Paramore debut new song “Running Out Of Time” in Nashville

Paramore are providing one more taste of their sixth record, This Is Why, before its release this Friday, Feb. 10. The band debuted the new song “Running Out Of Time” during the encore at their album release show in Nashville.

“This is a song about how I’m always late to everything,” Hayley Williams tells the audience. “It’s really not that deep, unless you want to think about the planet dying. Then it can be that deep.”

The band kick into the song with a thumping beat as Williams sings of always being defeated by the clock and questions if she’s a “selfish prick,” dancing and flipping her hair along the way.

In addition to singles “This Is Why,” “The News,” and “C’est Comme Ça” also making their live debuts, Paramore pulled out some classics during the event. Cuts such as “Hard Times,” “Caught In The Middle,” “Rose-Colored Boy,” “Misery Business,” and more filled out the set. The band also played “In The Mourning” for the first time since 2014, as well as covers of Loretta Lynn (“You Ain’t Woman Enough (To Take My Man)”) and HalfNoise (“Boogie Juice”).
