It’s no secret that various artists and genres inspire Posty and his music. He has previously revealed that Nirvana, Pantera, Megadeth and Metallica are a few of his favorite bands. Back in January, a video surfaced of Malone screaming along to Pantera in an impromptu performance.

Posty even showed off his underground metal knowledge in July. The rapper got high during Joe Rogan‘s podcast and talked about a number of things including goblin metal and the goblin metal group Nekrogoblikon.

As well, back in April, Malone held a livestream where he exclusively performed Nirvana covers. Joined by musicians including blink-182‘s Travis Barker, the livestream was for The United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for The World Health Organization. The livestream went on to raise over $4 million.

Now, Posty is showing off his love for both rock and metal music again. He recently joined YouTuber Jared Dines for the ultimate band jam session. Dines uploaded a series of videos from the session that show Malone improvising and shredding on the electric guitar. During the session, Posty also took over on drums for a cover of Nirvana’s “Breed” which can be seen in the fourth video of the post.

Dines’ videos also include appearances from Dragged Under frontman Tony Cappocchi and Tyla Yaweh. Both Tyla Yaweh and Posty recently collaborated on the track “Tommy Lee.”

Dines also shared a clip of Posty and the band covering “Play That Funky Music.” The video clearly shows Malone’s ability to multi-task as he plays drums while smoking.

Along with recently turning his dentist office into a tattoo studio, Posty is hard at work on a new album. As well, he is reportedly planning to launch a world beer pong league.
