Post Malone comments following safe emergency plane landing

Post Malone has had quite a day as he was aboard a plane forced to make an emergency landing following tires being blown after takeoff.

The rapper was in attendance at last night’s MTV Music Video Awards where he performed the closing song with Aerosmith and 21 Savage. After his own “Rockstar,” he jumped on guitar to back Aerosmith on “Dream On” and “Toys In The Attic.” He also won a VMA for Song of the Year for “Rockstar.”

He was also the recipient of one of the mysterious objects Panic! At The Disco handed out during their performance.

Post Malone is slated to perform at this weekend’s Reading & Leeds festival, so the plane was originally set to go to England. However, after the tires blew, it was rerouted to an airport in Westfield, Massachusetts.

The flight was rerouted a second time to Stewart Airport in New York as that location has a longer runway ideal for emergency landings.

The plane carried 16 people including Post Malone, his crew and flight personnel. The aircraft was forced to hover above the airport in order to burn fuel and make for a safer landing if it did indeed end up as a crash.

The plane safely touched down around 4 p.m. EST today, and the rapper tweeted to his fans and those who wished him ill soon after.

“I landed guys,” he says. “Thank you for your prayers. Can’t believe how many people wished death on me on this website. Fuck you. But not today.”
