Last month, Post Malone and Tyla Yaweh dropped their latest collab "Tommy Lee" which is named after Mötley Crüe's drummer.

Now, the rappers have teamed up with Lee himself for the "Tommy Lee" remix. On Friday, they released a behind-the-scenes music video showing how the remix was recorded.

Following the release of the original "Tommy Lee" back in June, Lee shared that he is flattered to have a song named after him.

"I was humbled that Tyla and Post chose to name a song after me," Lee says. "I couldn't wait to get my hands on it with them and give it my spin. We had a blast! They are the new rockstars! I love them both!”

As for the song’s meaning, Lee explained that it is ultimately about living a rock star life. Lee himself has emulated this kind of lifestyle in the past. More specifically, during his time in Mötley Crüe.

“It’s basically [about] living that rock star life that, you know, people in hip hop always seem to talk about,” Lee says.

Both Lee and Post Malone have collaborated together in the past. Lee played drums on “Over Now,” which appears on Post Malone’s 2018 album Beerbongs & Bentleys.

“I played drums on a track on his previous album so I’ve known him for a while,” he says. “That dude is a rock star, let me tell you. He’s a freaking maniac.”

As soon as Lee heard "Tommy Lee," he knew he had to be involved. So, he teamed up with Post Malone and Tyla Yaweh for a remix of the song.

For Tyla Yaweh, he says that he is honored to get to work with two of his "idols."

"I’m excited to be releasing records with my idols,” Tyla says. “I first had Billie Joe Armstrong clear a sample for me and hop in my last video with Wiz Khalifa. Now I’ve got a legendary track with this badass Rockstar Tommy Lee and my brother Post Malone. This track is so special to me!"

Along with the release of the "Tommy Lee" remix, the trio have also debuted a new video. The video features footage of the song being recorded in the studio as well as some of the antics the musicians got up to. From Lee laying down the drums to messing around with the camera, the video gives a first-hand look into how the remix was created.

The "Tommy Lee" remix video is available to watch below.

Lee is hard at work getting ready to release his new album ANDRO which is due out on October 16. Lee recently spoke to Alternative Press about ANDRO in an exclusive interview. Pre-orders for ANDRO are available here.
