President Obama is hosting his own music festival
President Obama is clearly a music person. After creating his very own summer Spotify playlist, he’s back at it again, but this time with a music festival, “South by South Lawn.”

According to the White House's official release, the festival, inspired by South by Southwest, is meant to “bring together creators, innovators and organizers who work day in and day out to improve the lives of their fellow Americans and people around the world.”
The event will feature interactive components, including panels on making a change, film, in collaboration with the American Film Institute, and music from “well-known and emerging artists who are using their music to inspire audiences.”

The festival will be held October 3 at the White House, and they are currently taking nominations for creators and innovators who are making a change in their community. Check out the site for more nomination information.
