The Falcon features members of Alkaline Trio, the Lawrence Arms and the Loved Ones. “This record is super dark,” says frontman Brendan Kelly, of the Lawrence Arms, about Gather Up The Chaps. “I don't know why it turned out like this, but sex, drugs, rock and roll, and death are powerful topics for a reason. I didn't invent or pioneer this kind of album by any stretch of imagination, but it’s what came out of me. I feel like the record has a large dose of self-loathing in it, but also a sense of reveling in bad decisions and gleeful destruction to self and others.”
