8 things from PUP's insane new video game music video that will blow your f*cking mind

Prepare for your mind to be blown as your love of music and video games collide in PUP's most recent video release. Toronto-based pop punkers PUP have taken the concept of music videos to the next level with their latest release “Old Wounds,” a totally immersive, choose-your-adventure style music video that acts like one giant video game.

PUP teamed up with their longtime director Jeremy Schaulin-Rioux to create an unbelievable number of intersecting videos, allowing viewers an impressive amount of options to choose from throughout the game. The concept is simple: The four members of the band challenge you, their new tour manager, to get them back to their hotel room safely after a sold out show.

Sound easy enough? Guess again.

1. There are 28 different ways to die in the game

Be careful not to make a wrong decision, or your chosen PUP member will meet their demise. Each member ranges in difficulty, so choose wisely!

2. There are only four ways to win

You read that right. There are only four ways in the game for Stefan, Steve, Nestor and Zack to survive the night. May the odds be ever in your favor.

3. A total of 16 aliens can be found throughout the game

That's a lot of aliens. Tom Delonge will be stoked!

4. As well as 10 beers

Can you find all 10?

5. And three magic mushrooms

Dance, Stefan, dance!

6. There are five Eastern Conference NBA playoff team references

Think these guys are basketball fans?

7. Diehard PUP fans may pick up on more than most

Those that have gotten to know the band over the years may pick up on all the subtle nuances the band and Jeremy have included in the video.

8. Each storyline is unique, and 100 percent PUP

“We actually each wrote our own individual storylines,” Babcock says. “From Steve’s sports obsession to Zack’s weirdo sci-fi brain soup, and Nestor’s unnatural love of pizza to me going off the deep end in the wilderness… this video is pure PUP.”
