2009 feels like a lifetime ago, but we all know that 20ninescene is alive and well. The thing is, we’re better at remembering song lyrics from a whole decade ago than we are at remembering how to do long equations. That’s just kind of how it goes.

All Time Low’s Nothing Personal was among the many epic releases to drop in 2009. The band recently revealed they’ll be re-recording and sharing the backstory behind the record.

“10 years later we return to the scene of the crime: Filmed and tracked live at RedBull Studios, we take look back at All Time Low’s album Nothing Personal. Coming soon!” they  tweeted on the day of the 10-year anniversary along with a teaser video.

Nothing Personal holds scene classic such as “Weightless,” “Lost In Stereo” and “Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don’t).” However, frontman Alex Gaskarth recently shared that one track to make the final cut had to go through a name change.

All Time Low and blink-182 fans are well aware that the bands share a pretty similar song title. Gaskarth revealed a “True Story” regarding ATL’s “A Party Song (The Walk of Shame)” and blink’s “The Party Song.”

In May, the frontman took to Twitter to post a poll, asking fans to choose between “A Party Song” and fellow Nothing Personal track “Keep The Change.”

Of course, blink-182 frontman Mark Hoppus had to cast his vote. “Party song, but the blink-182 one,” he tweeted.

The retweet sparked Gaskarth to share a bit of a fun fact behind the track’s title and how it was almost named “Party Song.”

“True story: we were gonna call it ‘Party Song’ and then Jack reminded me that blink already had a song by that name, so it became ‘A Party Song’ (since it would never be the definitive Party Song, just one of several.)”
