Can you match the artist to their legendary collab track?

Collabs have stood the test of time as a reminder that we often work better as a team than on our own—take John Lennon and Paul McCartney for example. Like Lennon and McCartney, Elton John and lyricist Bernie Taupin discovered in the late ’60s that their teamwork shined brighter than their individual works.

When bands add another talented musician to the mix, the outcome has the potential to be absolutely insane. We’ve gathered some of our favorite collaborations from the scene that we don’t know how we ever lived without. See if you can remember who appeared on what track below.

More on collab tracks

Ozzy Osbourne is no outsider to collaborations in the scene and has even proven that he’ll go into genres he’s never attempted before, such as with Post Malone on “Take What You Want.” As new details slip out about Ozzy’s latest solo album, it seems an abundance of collaborations are in his future.

His latest release is the self-titled track from his upcoming Feb. 21 album, Ordinary Man. The self-titled track features the Rocket Man himself, Elton John. Check out the song below.

The song is an incredible ballad, with John rocking his verse like a god. Ozzy commented on the collaborations and “Ordinary Man” in particular.

“It all just came together,” Ozzy says of the guest stars “Slash is a dear friend of mine, as is Elton. When I was writing ‘Ordinary Man,’ it reminded me of an old Elton song, and I said to Sharon, ‘I wonder if he would sing on it?’ We asked, and lo and behold, he agreed and sings and plays piano on the song.”

Speaking of the song, Ozzy discusses his status as a musician. “There’s a line in ‘Ordinary Man’ where I sing, ‘I don’t want to die an ordinary man,’ which I don’t think I will,” Ozzy says, laughing.

“It was a lot of fun to do, though it’s a lot different from my other albums,” Ozzy says. “We recorded it quickly, which I haven’t done since the first Black Sabbath album. This made it a different process, which I actually enjoyed.”

Ordinary Man can be preordered here. It features collaborations with Slash of Guns N’ Roses, Post Malone, Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine and Elton John.
