More on the My Chemical Romance
Yesterday, Mikey Way took to Instagram to share a look at the picks he’ll be using for the reunion show alongside Frank Iero, Gerard Way, Ray Toro and Jarrod Alexander. Iero followed up with a peek the guitars for the big night, but one caption from Fender regarding the word “tour” sent fans into a frenzy.
Then, following a soundcheck last night that might have revealed much of the setlist, My Chemical Romance took to Instagram to share another update with fans. With it, they revealed this wasn’t exactly an overnight thing with their planning stretching back to 2017.
“In 2017, we got in a room together to see what would happen. A couple more jam sessions and 39 days of rehearsals later, we’re ready to show you what we’ve learned. See you soon.”

The sessions were also confirmed by Every Time I Die‘s Jordan Buckley, who says he was asked to leave the room before MCR went in.
“It’s true,” Buckley says. “I was actually in the room they’re talking about and when they showed up, Iwas asked to leave. i forgot some snacks in that room too, but was too scared to go back and ask for them.”
