Rammstein announce New Year's Eve beach bash in Mexico

It might be hard to imagine German heavy metal band Rammstein rousing their own industrial version of Beach Blanket Bingo. Nevertheless, the rockers will ring in 2019 on the beach in Mexico this New Year’s Eve. Get details below.

That’s right, Rammstein will be performing in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, on Dec. 31, 2018, and Jan. 1, 2019, at the Explanada Pelicanos. The New Year’s Eve beach party is being billed as a “unforgettable two-night only and very exclusive show.”

The veteran outfit, perhaps best known to American audiences for their 1997 alternative radio hit “Du Hast,” released live concert film Rammstein: Paris last year. Liebe Ist Für Alle Da is their most recent studio album, released in 2009.

According to a StubHub web page for the upcoming concert, the band is “in the final phase of the production of their seventh studio album. This reportedly means that “Mexican fans will very likely be the first to hear the new songs.”

This unique experience is only for a limited group of fans around the world,” reads the announcement for the surfside concert event. Tickets for Rammstein’s beach party (reportedly starting at $225 “for the show only,” per Metal Injection) will be available here beginning June 27.
