Recording Academy and MusiCares reveal COVID-19 relief fund
The COVID-19 relief fund is aiming at providing financial assistance to a multitude of people working in the music industry being affected by the economic shakeups as well as providing other benefits to give back to the community.
The organizations are supporting music industry workers, from musicians to venue staff and more in a variety of ways.
To start, they're both donating $1 million each to their COVID-19 Relief Fund to help industry workers impacted by the economic losses during the pandemic. Further, all Recording Academy Chapters are committing to fundraising in local communities. They'll also be hosting virtual concerts to crowdfund.
