Due to the coronavirus pandemic, bands have found creative ways to still bring live music to fans around the globe this year. For Underoath, they decided to perform three of their most iconic albums – Lost In The Sound Of Separation, Define The Great Line and They’re Only Chasing Safety – as part of their virtual concert series.

Underoath’s Spencer Chamberlain previously told Alternative Press that they had a specific reason for playing Lost In The Sound Of Separation first.

“We wanted to start with Lost In The Sound Of Separation because we’ve never played that record front to back,” he said. “Just to see how these things go. We’re just excited to play in a room together again and share it with people.”

Following the launch of the OBSERVATORY livestream series in July, Underoath grossed almost $800,000 through tickets, merch and vinyl sales across 54 countries. The band are currently preparing for Phase 2 of OBSERVATORY in the future. In the meantime, however, they wanted fans to have the opportunity to enjoy the groundbreaking event for years to come.
