Remember how awesome it was seeing your favorite bands on 'Steven's Untitled Rock Show'?

For me, the summer of 2008 was a huge turning point in my journey with music. I was 13 going on 14, and my parents had just gotten cable television. Before this, friend's houses served as my only access to music-centered stations. With all of those outlets and more fully accessible from my very own home, my band vocabulary began to grow tenfold.

One show in particular that continually grabbed at my attention was FUSE's Steven’s Untitled Rock Show. Not only did I get to watch some of my favorite bands be interviewed, but I also discovered groups that, to this day, remain in constant rotation on my playlists. Straylight Run, Angels & Airwaves and Envy On The Coast were just a few of the bands I was exposed to for the first time because of SURS.

Steven’s Untitled Rock Show’s influence on our scene is one we can look back quite fondly on—and we sure could use some of that in the industry today.
