[2/5] Basic white-bread recipe, adjusted for metalcore success in 2006: Mix 3 1/2 c. At The Gates riffs with 3 Tbsp. screams, 2 Tbsp. clean vocals, 1 Tbsp. synthesizer accents and 1 pkg. Quick-Acting Spooky Atmosphere in major-label incubator program. Add scalded production values; beat for approx. 35 minutes at high speed. Stir in enough remaining At The Gates riffs, one twin-guitar harmony at a time, until album is easily credible. Turn out to receptive audience; knead until smooth and elastic (about one album cycle). Place in large, buttered mosh pit; flip so melody side is up; cover with clean merch booth and let rise in a warm place, for about one fiscal quarter, until MySpace friend list has doubled. Preheat label executives; place album, totally sweet artwork side up, in Best Buy end cap; bake for one to two more fiscal quarters. Band will sound hollow when lightly tapped.
