Walk Into The Light EP

[3.5/5] Located inside the liner notes to Communiqué’s new EP is a quote from Miles Davis that reads, “People who don’t change will find themselves like folk musicians, playing in museums and local as a motherfucker.” This quote basically sums up the five songs on Walk Into The Light. While each song features the band’s distinctive synthesizer-friendly take on punk rock, you won’t get sick of a single one: “The Sad Valentine” sounds like an updated version of the Clash; the electro-tendencies in “Somebody Poisoned The Well” could pass for a less pretentious version of the Faint; and “Wake Up Wake Up” is as much a call to arms as it is a patently perfect pop song.
