Riot Fest postpones until 2021 and reveals the first wave of the lineup
In a statement released on June 16, Riot Fest announces that the festival has been moved until 2021. This year's Riot Fest was originally scheduled to happen September 11-13, 2020. Now, the festival is scheduled to happen September 16-19, 2021.
As well, the first lineup announcement for the 2021 festival has been revealed. My Chemical Romance, Smashing Pumpkins, Run The Jewels and Pixies are the first round of headliners to be announced. As well, Taking Back Sunday, New Found Glory, Simple Plan and Circa Survive will be playing Riot Fest 2021.
More bands are set to be announced in the next coming weeks. All 2020 ticketholders will be able to use their tickets for next year's festival. As well, Riot Fest will be holding a special Thursday Preview Party on September 16, 2021. The event will have surprise sets from mystery bands.
"Riot Fest is moving to September 17-19, 2021," the statement reads. "More bands, and headliners, and surprises still to be announced! Tickets are on sale now. If you already have your 2020 ticket, you're in luck, it’s good for 2021. We'll miss you this year, but we'll be back bigger and better in 2021 with a special Thursday Preview Party on September 16, 2021 with surprise sets from mystery bands and much more. See you in 458 days..."
