Weezer fans are in for a special treat this holiday season. as frontman Rivers Cuomo is opening his vault of demos up to the public.

Cuomo is offering the opportunity to dig extremely deep into his personal history as a musician with demos dating all the way back to 1976 through 2015 being offered for sale on his Mister Rivers Neighborhood website.

Spread across a handful of compilations, the demos are crossing different eras of his career and personal development. One of the collections, Alone IV: Before Weezer, even includes recordings of Cuomos as a very young child.

At just $9 for each compilation, fans get anywhere from a couple dozen tracks to a ridiculous thousand-plus songs.

The Weezer frontman includes a disclaimer for fans explaining the weirdness of some of the recordings.

For any demo: It might have silence. It might be wildly inappropriate. It might have super low sound quality. It might just be me rambling, talking, making sounds. It may have already been shared or leaked. It might be just a drum beat. it might not have vocals. It might be a duplicate of another demo. It might be an inferior version of another demo. The information provided, such as year and description, might be incorrect.

Further, he highlights that fans purchasing any of the demos shouldn't be sharing them for the public. "If you have a close friend, who really can't afford it, and they really want the music, sure, go ahead and share. But don't post for the general public," the site reads.

It's clear from the colossal amount of material and disclaimer that Cuomos hasn't been able to pick through everything available. He asks fans to "please let me know if there's anything I wouldn't want public in all the voice notes. I never thought I would be releasing those. I don't know what's in them."

While it's quite a strange release, Weezer superfans will be delighted to get an extremely in-depth look at the history behind some of their favorite tracks. If you're looking to purchase the files yourself, head here and read the full disclaimer before purchasing.
