‘The Batman’ teaser sparks plot theories around Robert Pattinson’s batsuit
Originally, Warner Bros. was torn between Pattinson and Nicholas Hoult (Warm Bodies, X-Men: First Class) asking for both actors to be taped before making their decision.the hate
The upcoming trilogy will have no connection to Ben Affleck’s Batman but instead, focus on Bruce Wayne in the formative stages of Batman.
“He’s supposed to be the world’s greatest detective, and that’s not necessarily been a part of what the movies have been,” says director Matt Reeves. “I’d love this to be one where when we go on that journey of tracking down the criminals and trying to solve a crime, it’s going to allow his character to have an arc so that he can go through a transformation.”
During an interview with Variety in September, Pattinson revealed what it was like putting on the iconic suit for the first time.
“I put it on. I remember saying to Matt, ‘It does feel quite transformative,'" Pattinson says. "He was like, 'I would hope it does! You’re literally in the Batsuit.' You do feel very powerful immediately. And it’s pretty astonishing, something that is incredibly difficult to get into, so the ritual of getting into it is pretty humiliating."
"You’ve got five people trying to shove you into something. Once you’ve got it on, it’s like, 'Yeah, I feel strong, I feel tough, even though I had to have someone squeezing my butt cheeks into the legs.'"
Now, we're fans are able to get a first look at what Robert Pattinson looks like in the suit.
With the film titled The Batman, Reeves shared a camera test of Pattinson wearing the suit. Though it's a bit dark you can still see that the suit looks like it was made for him.
As with each new Batman film, it also appears the masked-vigilante also has a new bat embellishing his armor. Instead of the traditional bat, this one has sharp wings over the normal curved.
