Ryan Reynolds to star in 'Home Alone' revise, 'Stoned Alone'

No, we’re not kidding. It looks like Ryan Reynolds is taking his Deadpool comedy into the world of Home Alone to create a revise so appropriately titled, Stoned Alone.

We can’t make this shit up.

Augustine Frizzell is set to direct the film with Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider writing the script based off an idea by Fox executive Matt Reilly.

Stoned Alone is reported to center around a twenty-something weed growing loser who misses the plane for his holiday ski trip. How does he make the best of this mishap? By getting high of course. Paranoia soon sets in and he believes he hears someone break into his house, and as it turns out, thieves really have broken in. Fueled by paranoia and fully stoned, our star tries desperately to thwart the thieves and protect his “castle”.

Okay, but will Macaulay Culkin be in it?

Reynolds is set to produce the film through his Fox-based Maximum Effort production banner with George Dewey as executive producer.

The original Home Alone film was released in 1990, grossing $476 million and spawning two sequels, making it Fox’s all-time grossing comedy.
