San Francisco punks Nothington premiere new song "The Lies I Need"—listen

Nothington has kept a low profile for the past few months, but they have been hard at work behind the scenes and have a lot to show for it.

After coming off of a brief hiatus in 2016, Nothington are back to premiere their song for “The Lies I Need,” off their new album titled In The End out February 17 on Red Scare. You can preorder it here.

Jay Northington (Vocalist/Guitar) had this to say about the video: “We've never done a video before, but we had fun making this around town. SF has changed so much since we started making music, sometimes I feel like we're the only punk band left around here.”

Nothington announced the end of their hiatus in July 2016 via their Facebook page, and have been busy planning their future ever since. The band booked a European tour to honor the 10 year anniversary of their first album All In, which came out February 2007, and just confirmed a string of West Coast shows to follow as well. Now, for the first time in five years, they are back with a new album and are ready to rock.

Chris Matulich (Guitar/Vocals)—who filmed and edited the video—said this about the album: “We spent a lot of time crafting the details of these songs, and think this record contains some of the best music we've ever written.  Very exited to finally let people hear them for the first time.”
