Santa Claus kicks metal vocalist’s ass at benefit show—watch

What is more holiday-metal than Santa Claus showing up to the local gig? Santa Claus coming up and proceeding to lay this metal vocalist out flat, that’s what.

A local Sacramento show with Smack’d Up proved to be more entertaining than your average gig. After saying some questionable words about the city on their Dec. 8 performance, Smack’d Up’s vocalist Matt Kupers got, well, smacked down.

“Hold up!” Kupers says in the video. “I thought this was Sacramento, California. I didn’t know this was a bitch fuckin’ state. Motherfucker, this is Sactown.”

Just as Kupers said those fatal words, a man dressed as Santa Claus punched him repeatedly in the face until he fell off the stage onto his backside.

It wasn’t long before someone in attendance uploaded the video to Facebook.

“Here ya go folks,” user Jonny Marion says bluntly.

You can check out the video for yourselves below.

According to Loudwire, the show was actually a Toy For Tots Benefit show. Show-goers had the opportunity to get their pictures taken with Santa, sip a nice cup of hot chocolate and partake in an ugly sweater contest.

We can only hope that the Santa who posed for photos is the same Santa who stood up for his city.
