Scene-loved tattoo artist Ryan Ashley Malarkey could be first woman to win Ink Master

Tattoo artist Ryan Ashley Malarkey is no stranger to the musicians in our scene.

Her work can be seen on New Years Day’s Ash Costello and In This Moment’s Maria Brink, and members of Pierce The Veil and Asking Alexandria are among the many hoping to have her artwork inked on their skin forever.

The talented artist based out of Pennsylvania co-owns and operates oddities parlor The Strange and Unusual, with her fiancé, Motionless In White keyboardist Josh Balz. Within the shop is her private, appointment-only tattoo studio.

Thanks to the popular Spike show, Ink Master, a lot more people have become familiar with her stunning black and grey tattoo work. Malarkey is one of the final three artists competing for the title of Ink Master on the show.

The live season 8 finale, where she will go head to head with fellow artists Gian Karle and Kelly Doty, will air tomorrow 9/10 p.m. central time on Spike.
