See Fall Out Boy perform this hit at Joe Biden’s pre-inauguration concert
Last week, Fall Out Boy fans went wild when they were announced as one of the performers for the We The People concert. For those of you that don't know, Fall Out Boy and President-elect Joe Biden have quite an unexpected connection.
“I would not be standing here actually in reality at all because my parents met working for Biden,” Wentz told the Associated Press. “They met on the campaign, so they have this particular affection for Joe. He came to their wedding. If it weren’t for Joe Biden, I would not exist as a human being.”
After Biden won the presidential election in November, Wentz even shared a throwback photo of them together.
“My parents met working for Joe Biden in the Senate in the 70s. To me he is a beacon of empathy, compassion and kindness. The times we live in call for a leader with these specific traits. Proud to call Joe Biden my president.”

Then, for the first time since 2019, Fall Out Boy played together publicly for the We The People pre-inauguration concert. For the special performance, they played their 2015 hit "Centuries," off of American Beauty/American Psycho.
This isn't the first time Fall Out Boy have taken part in political performances. Last year, Patrick Stump was among the familiar faces to perform for a virtual Rocky Horror Picture Show livestream. The special event helped raised money for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris' campaign.
Along with Fall Out Boy, AJR also performed at the We The People pre-inauguration concert. For their appearance, they took on "Bummerland," one of the three singles they released in 2020.
Along with the We The People concert, there are a few other inauguration celebrations happening over the next week. On Jan. 14, we learned that Lady Gaga is singing the national anthem at Joe Biden’s inauguration. As well, Jennifer Lopez is performing a musical number.
Following the inauguration ceremony, a stacked lineup of artists are performing for the Celebrate America event. Justin Timberlake, Demi Lovato, Jon Bon Jovi and Ant Clemons were announced as the first round of artists in the event’s lineup. Then, on Jan. 15, even more musical guests were announced.Foo FightersBruce Springsteen John LegendCelebrate AmericaWaiting On A WarMedicine At Midnightdebuted last weekDave Grohl
Celebrating America will be available to watch on numerous platforms. The event, which will be hosted by Tom Hanks, starts at 8:30 P.M. ET on multiple platforms including ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC and MSNBC.
For those of you that don’t have cable, you’re in luck. The entire special will be streamed on the Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC)’s social media channels. Additionally, it will also be available on Amazon Prime Video, Microsoft Bing, NewsNOW from Fox and AT&T DirecTV and U-verse.
