Every Simple Plan album ranked: From worst to best

Forming 24 years ago, there’s no argument that Simple Plan are pop-punk royalty. The Canadian group released their debut album, No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls, during the genre’s mainstream explosion and have endured ever since. There’s been moments of daring experimentation and some eyebrow-raising collaborations (Sean Paul, we’re looking at you), but the group have tackled the rise, fall and resurgence of the genre with their resilient, goofy sense of humor.

Not many bands can star in the animated series What’s New, Scooby Doo? and cover the iconic theme tune, but also turn their hand to big, emotional numbers like “Perfect” and it still all make sense. Whether they’re writing their own pop-punk classics or bending the rules of what the genre can get away with, Simple Plan’s discography is full of defiant anthems that try to look on the brighter side of life.
