Over 18 years after its release, Simple Plan's "I'm Just A Kid" has been certified Platinum in the US with over a million equivalent units sold.

The track has become a viral TikTok sensation and was further boosted by the Cheaper By The Dozen cast recreating moments from the film for the social media challenge.

Over the past couple of months, a new TikTok challenge offered users a chance to get nostalgic about their personal memories using the song.

Cast members from Cheaper By The Dozen got in on the challenge this week pushing it further into the public eye.

The track originally appeared in the film, hence why they ended up participating in the challenge.

Now, through all of these TikTok challenges the song has been streamed enough to finally get certified platinum.

The track originally appears on Simple Plan's debut record No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls. The record was certified double platinum and is just as great to listen to as it was the day it came out.
