Here's what Slayer would sound like mixed into an emo rap song

Slayer are widely known as one of the most iconic thrash metal bands of all time but their music has also made its way into the world of hip-hop before.

While rappers like Lil Jon and Public Enemy have previously used the band’s shredding metal for beat samples, Youtuber Red Sky is taking “Raining Blood” and transforming it into an emo rap track.

The song uses the main guitar riff for the famous Slayer track as the backing for the beat while adding in extra flourishes throughout.

The YouTuber tells Metalsucks in an email that he did it “just for a joke and challenging myself.”

In the clip, the Italian YouTuber gives a lengthy explanation of how the track came together.

The song itself features airy instrumentation over top of skittering drum beats typical of trap music. The actual Slayer song isn’t particularly recognizable throughout the song but that’s pretty typical of how many emo rappers have used song samples before to hide subtle references to some of their influences.

You can check it out below with the song itself starting around nine and a half minutes in.

In case you didn’t know, Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz previously sampled “Raining Blood” for “Stop Fuckin Wit’ Me.”

The sample kicks in around 40 seconds in and also starts off with a sample of Slayer’s “Mandatory Suicide.”

You can check that out below.

Public Enemy also sampled Slayer’s “Angel Of Death” on their song “She Watch Channel Zero!” which you can hear about ten seconds into the video below.
