Smashing Pumpkins to release live album, 3D concert film

Smashing Pumpkins will release a live album and concert film, both titled Oceania: Live In NYC, Sept. 3 via Universal Music Enterprises.

Captured during the group's Dec. 10 performance at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, originally slated to take place on Halloween but rescheduled due to Hurricane Sandy, the concert includes Smashing Pumpkins' 2012 album Oceania performed in full, along with performances of some of the band's classic hits.

The concert film currently has no theatrical release plans, but will be available on a variety of home media formats: DVD, 3D Blu-ray, Deluxe 2CD+DVD, and digital long form. The discs will include photo galleries, as well as interviews with lighting director and stage producer Sean Evans.

The band are currently in the midst of reissuing their back catalogue, with box set The Aeroplane Flies High slated to arrive on July 23 via Virgin/UMe, and are on tour now in Europe and Asia.
