Speak Low If You Speak Love (State Champs) streams new song, “Adjacent”

Speak Low If You Speak Love (the brainchild of State Champs bassist Ryan Scott Graham) is teaming up with AP to bring you his new song, “Adjacent.” The track is taken from his debut album, Everything But What You Need, which comes out March 31 on Pure Noise Records. “'Adjacent' is a very blunt song about trying and failing,” says Graham. “A few years back, I drove to Chicago to see a girl. I had just lost my job, so I had no money, no serious responsibilities and figured what better way to expend the little energy and motivation that I did have on pursuing the relationship. In the back of my mind, I think I knew I didn't stand a chance, but I ignored my gut feeling and went for it. What came out of the experience is 'Adjacent.' On one hand, it's a tale of bravery, encouraging listeners to trust their intuition even when things seem impossible. On the other hand, it's a true story about losing. Things didn't go the way I hoped they would, and I didn't get the girl, but I needed to write this song to come to terms with that.”
