Per a report from Comicbook.com, the third installment of the Spongebob Squarepants’ movies will be called The SpongeBob Movie: It's a Wonderful Sponge and it is set to open in theaters on July 22, 2020.

The film is going to be the third in the series, following 2004's The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and then 2015's The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out Of Water.

While there's not much information regarding the newest movie, we do know that the SpongeBob movie was originally announced in 2015, with longtime creative head Paul Tibbitt set to direct. Plus, we also know that some people are alreay expected to return to voice the characters we've grown to love including, the cast of Tom Kenny (SpongeBob), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick Star), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy Cheeks) and Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs).

The news of the film's newest title and release date comes after a series of delays. The film was originally slated to arrive Aug. 1, 2019, with the name simply being titled the SpongeBob Movie, but after an initial pushback from Paramount, the date was then changed to July 31, 2020.

Hopefully, we'll keep the film's newest release date.

We can only hope that we'll get to see our favorite underwater sponge in The SpongeBob Movie: It's a Wonderful Sponge when it hits theaters for its new estimated release date of July 22, 2020.
