Star Wars' Mark Hamill still “refuses to believe” that Luke Skywalker is gone. The actor portrayed his role of the powerful Jedi for perhaps the last time in last year's Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

“I refuse to believe that he’s gone,” Hamill tells BBC. “My theory is he just teleported to somewhere else and left his robe behind.”

“He teleported to a nudist colony – that’s what I’m hoping,” he jokes, referring to Skywalker's cloak flying away after he disappears.

It's safe to say Hamill has had a lot of trouble saying goodbye to his most famous character.

The actor recently announced that he would be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. The induction ceremony will be taking place this week, March 8. Hamill will be joined at the occasion by Star Wars creator George Lucas and original co-star Harrison Ford.

“Can't say this is a dream come true because I was never foolist enough to think something like this could ever happen,” Hamill commented on the honor.
