Steven Spielberg reportedly bringing Gene Wilder out of retirement

According to a report from Ain’t It Cool, Steven Spielberg is reportedly attempting to bring Gene Wilder out of retirement for a new role on the big screen, (via ConsequenceOfSound). It has been 13 years since Wilder set foot behind the camera, but if anyone could get him back in the game, it would be Spielberg.

While nothing is set in stone as of yet, Spielberg does have a handful of films in the works, including re-workings of Roald Dahl’s Big Friendly Giant and Ernest Cline’s Ready Player One.
